I can understand the inner conflict something like this causes.

When it comes to art and literature created by the person though I find it chillingly insightful. I mean even Mein Kempf is something people should read just to get an understanding of how normal radical people can seem. I make an effort to read the literature from people who I either don’t like or are general extremists. You might not have ever seen a bookshelf with Bell Hooke’s and Milo Yiannopolous side by side before.

To me, it is important not to separate the art from the artist, but to take that context and incorporate it into your understanding. Like a forensic examination. People aren’t born radicals, they slide that way and so examination is important. With what you learn you can examine your own beliefs and understand others better.

Obviously, this can be really hard when the topic is something as disgusting as paedophilia. Yet, I still feel there are lessons to be found within the pages.
